We went and saw the movie, Unbroken. That was kind of a downer. I had read the book and loved it. The movie portrayed a lot of the tragic scenes and abuse that Louie Zamperini went through during the war but failed to show the post war life the Louie experienced and his ability to forgive and move on from the atrocities he experienced as a soldier. That's really the miracle of this story.
We were able to attend the wedding of our niece, Ashley Walker to her fiance, Ben Broadhead in the Atlanta temple. It was so nice to have Dallin, Ashton and Brandon with us!
We played a lot of games over our Christmas break. We loved playing our new game from Janelle called Ticket to Ride.
And of course....we ate a lot of food. The pantry and refrigerator were packed with food.
A visit to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Monterrey with some very uncooperative picture taking subjects. These kids need to learn that I will post whatever pictures I have whether they are awesome or goofy!
Brandon creates a masterpiece out of the Quirkle pieces while he patiently waits for everyone to get ready to play this awesome game.
