Awesome Experience

Easton gave a talk in Sacrament a few weeks ago on the subject of, "Keeping the Sabbath day holy in our homes."  He was the youth speaker and really gave a superb talk.  He was confident and his presentation was great.  He spoke clearly and slowly and his prepared message was awesome.  The concluding speaker for the meeting was a visiting General Authority, Fred Parker.  He spoke for a while on the subject of Keeping the Sabbath holy and then he paused and asked Easton to come up to the stand.  Easton walked up, stood next to Elder Parker and received a strong handshake.  Then Elder Parker proceeded to tell the congregation about Easton, a 14 year old boy how just taught us how to keep the Sabbath holy.  He said that if we would all follow the teaching of this young man that we would be doing exactly what we should be doing.  He shared thoughts of when he went to a training in Salt Lake City with the Prophet, Apostles, and other general authorities.  He compared what Easton had talked about with what had been taught in his training.  He said that everything Easton taught us was "spot on".  He spoke about the exact same things that were taught by the prophet, apostles, and general authorities at the meeting he attended.  

It was a special moment for Easton, one that I hope he always remembers.  We were able to grab a picture with Elder Parker after the meeting and he again complimented Easton on his teaching about the Sabbath and how it was perfect counsel.
