CIA

My next New York adventure with Gretchen took us to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.  What a grandly beautiful college we visited.  This is a very prestigious college where students come from all over the world to get various degrees in cooking and baking and to learn how to be chefs and bakers.  We took a tour of the facilities and were able to get a behind the scenes look at the students in their classes working on different recipes and cooking methods.  We watched bread making, cake and dessert making, and all other forms of cooking.  My favorite part of the adventure was actually going to one of the many restaurants on campus that the students work in.  Gretchen and I had a super yummy chicken sandwich and then finished it with a delightful, chocolate dessert.  Actually we ate the dessert first, but we can do that because we're adults!

The plantar boxes and gardens were full of vegetables and herbs that were very beautiful.  There corn and tomato plants looked better than mine!

We tried to eat at this highly recommended restaurant but there were no openings for us.  The college had a class of students graduate that day and it was a little busy with all of the graduates and visiting family members.
