We Are the Champions

Easton has had an awesome basketball season this year.  His ball handling skills really improved as well as his confidence.  We were a little concerned at the beginning of the season when we saw the tall stature of kids in this league thinking that it would be very difficult to play being the little guy.  Easton was frustrated in the beginning but, he found his niche and was a great asset to his team.

Easton's team made it to the finals and what a game it was.  I get very stressed at these games because the parents get so involved.  I just want everyone to be happy and to cheer to the success of all the young basketball players, but I guess that's not really the goal of the game.  One team gets to win and one teams gets to walk away as the losers.  After an extremely hard fought battle Easton's team came out on top and were the 7th-8th grade champions.  Woohoo!  Easton had some key plays and steals during the game and was not intimidated at all by the big guys.  What an exciting game to watch!

 The final score

The team, North Carolina holding their trophy!  Great effort!
A little celebratory frozen yogurt after the game with Mom and Dad!
